Dr. Rafael Campos Hernández to the Board of Directors in the US
The Sole of Africa in the United States is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Rafael Campos Hernández to the Board of Directors of our US NGO. He brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge from the world of Information Technology and Education. A native of Mexico, he resides in Mexico City with his wife and two young sons, and is currently a senior executive with an international corporation specializing in information technology and human development. The Sole of Africa is especially excited to work with Rafael because he combines cutting edge I.T. skills with a lifelong devotion to education and public service.
Rafael and our CEO Kim Keeley met five years ago while collaborating on a project for a major Mexican University with campuses in Mexico and Costa Rica. They have since expanded their professional relationship: Rafael is the Senior Partner for the Latin and Central American Division in their Social Enterprise company, which focuses on disenfranchised urban youth.
In the coming months, Rafael will be focusing on I.T. and education in our developing world projects, and will be advising our construction of a hospital in the capital city of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Rafael and his team will be overseeing all aspects of the build from start to finish.
"Rafael brings great enthusiasm and passion for The Sole of Africa's mission as well as its public programs, both domestically and internationally. I believe he will make a great addition to our board, bringing a fresh perspective and helping us to expand our strategic vision for our global goals and our varied audiences," said Kim Keeley.
Rafael received his Doctorate in Education from The University of Memphis in 2003.
Welcome Rafael!
